After earning a BA in history from the University of Rochester, I finally pursued my passion for the arts. As a student, I dabbled in dance and film and art before I discovered my love of sculpture. I then attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and now have been sculpting for over 30 years.
My mediums have been diverse – wire, clay, concrete and wax but now I primarily use bronze and glass. My one of a kind sculptures are a tingling of nerves, torrents of energized forms and motion in space that coalesce into an expression of the human form. I sculpt not he vessel of anatomy but a turning of dialogue between heart and head, a gyroscope in action giving the body balance and motion. I sculpt figures in action and re-action.
I have exhibited and sold in museums and galleries across the US and have built large-scale bronzes for public and private commissions.
