CURTIS COYOTE
PAINTER AND SCULPTOR (PA)

Curtis Coyote

After a 25 year career as a scenic painter and prop maker for stage and screen, with close to 200 theatre and opera sets and 2 dozen film and television credits, I have returned to my fine art beginnings bringing with me the skills and experience I gained. My recent work in miniatures create stories in the telling. They are captions of a life with flaws and, hopefully, humor. I want to create a world inside them where it is not all handed to the observer, but there remains something to discover, a detail to find, a story to unravel.

My gallery portfolio began as part of the Seattle Art Museum’s young artists series in 1986. Since then I have had seven gallery showings in Seattle, including The Virginia Gallery, Gallery 61 and Fe Cu Si. In Philadelphia I have had four shows at the High Point Café to great reception and sales. I am honored to be included in the maiden exhibit of JAM Gallery.
